A little bit of this, a little bit of that..okay A LOT of everything!

Wow, it has certainly been a while since I've blogged. Why you may ask? I'll tell you why! There is so much I could write about, so much to tell, and then I get overwhelmed and share non of it. Sad story indeed. So I will start from where I left off. In my recent blog absence there have been many holidays and special events that have occurred, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Xander's Baby Blessing, Xander's very first cousin being born, Christmas and New Years! Lots and lots of things. So I will blog about it all, and whatever comes to mind. So just a heads up, prepare yourself for information overload!
For Xander's very first Halloween we spent it being snowed in at Powder Mountain Resort. My dad invited us to join him on his vacation, which we were lucky enough to actually have the cabin all to ourselves, for the most part. We spent one night with my dad and his family, making chocolate dipped strawberries and going for a swim, Xander's first swim i might add. He had no clue what was happening and just kind of kicked his feet in the water for a few minutes. He looked so very cute though! My family had to head back to town for school, so we ended up inviting Davids brothers and having a blast, watching movies, playing a super fun game of Apples to apples and some more swimming!
Thanksgiving, the one day of the year that is used as an excuse to continue eating as much as you have everyday. He he. Really. The difference is that on this day (while your dying of stomach pain on the floor because you've eaten way, way too much stuffing and your stuffed) you are completely surrounded by the ones you love. Xander's first Thanksgiving was spent at Grandma Meinzer's house. The boys of course competing to see who's plate was piled the highest and who could eat the most servings, but hey that's nothing new! lol.
Evelette Diane Meinzer, Xander's very first cousin, was born on December 4th 2010. The following day after Xander's blessing we drove out to meet her! So adorable and small. We couldn't be more happier for Mike and Brit! We look forward to when they can play together!
Xander was blessed on December 5th by his great grandpa Perkins. It was absolutely beautiful. The spirit was undeniably strong. It was amazing having our family there in support of our sons blessing. Xander did such a great job, not a single peep from him while he was being blessed. I was worried we'd have a screamer on our hands only because the night before when he saw his Grandpa Meinzer he wouldn't stop crying! We had a brunch at Grandma Meinzer's house after wards where we were joined by my closest friends and our family!
Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Having a sweet little boy, changed the whole aspect of Christmas for us. It made us so happy, and thankful for the gift our heavenly father gave to us. The gift of bringing life onto this earth. Amazing, isn't it?! Those sweet little fingers and adorable warm baby breath! I love him all! Down to his tiny little stinky toes he he. Having Xander with us, made this Christmas more special. We had Christmas morning to look forward to in a whole different view. Yes he was only 6 months old for Christmas, but he made it more the magical! We loved watching him rip open his presents! He was so happy and excited to play with...the wrapping paper!
New Years! Happy 2011! For New Years we spent the evening at home. Xander has been rebelling against his bed time schedule and was up until 11:40! Just in time to let us ring in the New Year! We had our friends Clayson and Becca over to spend the evening with us. We played some games and ate some snacks! We also took turns talking about the highlights of 2010 and what we looked forward to in the New Year.
