Rockin 80's Party

Last Saturday we went to a friends 25th birthday party. It was an 80's themed party and we got to dress up! I was so excited because I love dressing up and having fun! So I promptly set out in search for an outfit for David! Believe it or not, I already owned my whole outfit (well except the top)! The party was amazing! Thomas had decorated his entire house, with light up balloons, zebra print "throws", black lights, pac man wall decor. He even had delicious candies such as air heads, ring pops, sour patch kids, and gummi bears. There were cheese platters, crackers, chips and everything else you could think of! The crowd was loud, fun and crazy! I had fun admiring everyone else's outfits! Thomas had rockin music playing in the background as well as He-Man on the tv! Overall I give Thomas 5 stars :) it was wonderfully decorated, the atmosphere was exciting and the birthday boy was rockin a purple mohawk! What more could you ask for?!
Pin the glove on Michael Jackson, that's what!!!

Our outfits, I think I did pretty good with Davids outfit :)

Perkins Family Reunion

This past Saturday, we drove out to Provo to a little park four our family reunion, on my mom in laws side. We had pizza and a variety of delicious salads. It was a fun evening full of funny family memories and stories. I love doing family things with them because it always brings this fun warm fuzzy feeling inside of me, and makes me grateful to have married into such an amazing family.

The 4th of July

We decided to attend the Bountiful Eaglewood golf course's annual fireworks show this year, and it was held on July 3rd. We parked about a mile away and walked over, found a perfect little spot for our blanket and waited for the show to start. It was a nice cool evening, Xander enjoyed playing around the grass and getting his picture taken. When the show started he was a bit scared and plugged his ears, Sadly I don't think he enjoyed the fireworks as much as we had expected him to, but once he was on our laps with our hands over his ears he was more at ease.

A smile full of ritz

Plugging his ears, "its too loud mommy!"

Taking a walk!

Ever since we moved we've been going for evening strolls at least once a week. We are fortunate to live off of an ever growing little town. The walk on Main Street, is quiet and full of boutiques and yummy little restaurants. This same street has had many fun summer activities including a chalk art festival, a car show and soon to come a farmers market! :) On this particular walk, Xander started saying, "happy." He repeated the word several times throughout our walk, and he would clap his hands. I love my happy boy.
